Bird Control

Pigeons, starlings, sparrow, and other birds can cause damage to your business. If you are having a problem with birds, whether they are roosting or nesting in and around your business, call Cypress Creek Pest Control to help. We offer bird spikes, bird control gel repellent, and bird netting.

Bird Spikes will eliminate larger birds like pigeons and gulls from landing and roasting on flat surfaces. There are two types of bird spikes available. Polycarbonite Bird Spikes are rigid platic spikes that come in a variety of colors to match the area being treated. Stainless Steel Bird Spikes are used in areas of high visibility and are flexible to handle curved surfaces. Bird Wire is also available to deter larger birds like pigeons and gulls from landing and roosting. It creates an uneven surface so the birds cannot land.

Bird Control Gel Repellant is applied wherever birds land, including pipes, ledges, I-beams, parapet walls, conduit, flat or curved surfaces. Bird B Gone:

  • Creates a sticky surface that birds despise
  • Is economical and effective
  • Is non-toxic to birds and people
  • Applies easily with a caulking gun
  • Is effective at wide temperature extremes: 15 degrees F to 200 degrees F
  • Is virtually invisible

Bird netting will exclude all birds from areas of infestation. The netting is installed below or over the areas where birds are roosting and nesting.

We will send out a representative to inspect your facility and give you a written estimate to resolve your bird problem. Please contact us at 281-469-2679 to speak to a Customer Service Representative.

Bat Control

(Adapted from article from http://www.bugspray.com/articles98bats.html)

Bats have long been known to be beneficial because they eat insects. However, they can become a pest if they move into the attic, garage, porch, barn, or soffit area of your home or business. The most common entry point for bats in the home is through the gable or attic vents that can be found on most houses. Bats can roost in the most unlikely areas and need only a very small opening for an entire colony.

Bats can be carriers of rabies and other diseases, a problem that has gotten more severe in Houston over the past several years. Their droppings also pose a significant health hazard. These droppings have been found to contain many contaminants. We will send out a representative to inspect your facility and give you a written plan to resolve your bat problems.

Several species of bats can be found in Houston

  • Big Brown Bat
  • Hoary Bat
  • Northern Yellow Bat
  • Eastern Red Bat
  • Evening Bat
  • Mexican Free Tail Bat
  • Bat Guano
  • Seminole Bat

Mosquito Control

Cypress Creek Pest Control’s mosquito Operation started out in 1968 as a summer job for Mark Ivey, fogging for the Champions Community Improvement Association. Mr. Ivey started out pulling a thermal fogger behind his 8N Ford Tractor because he did not have a driver’s license.

Today, Cypress Creek Pest Control provides mosquito service to over 800 communities, cities, towns, chemical plants and manufacturing facilities, and operates up to 21 vehicles at night. Each vehicle is equipped with a ULV (Ultra Low Volume) fog generator designed and built by Cypress Creek Pest Control to provide the quality dependable service our clients expect.

Cypress Creek Pest Control is the largest private Mosquito Control operator in Texas and is an active member of the Texas Mosquito Control Association and other industry organizations. Clients can be assured that they will get the program to meet their needs. Cypress Creek Pest Control can also larvicide storm drains, retention ponds and other bodies of standing water.

Houston’s flat terrain and 46” of annual rainfall provide an ideal environment for mosquitoes to thrive.

The Harris County Mosquito Control District was created to control mosquitoes such as the Culex that spread malaria, encephalitis, and Dengue fever and now the new threat of West Nile Virus. The Harris County Mosquito Control District’s mission is not to control pest mosquitoes that disrupt the nighttime and outdoor activities of people in the Houston area.

Cypress Creek Pest Control’s fogging and Larvaciding programs are designed to CONTROL pest mosquitoes in the communities we serve. In no way can any mosquito program totally eliminate mosquitoes. A mosquito control program can only keep the mosquito population in a specific area at an acceptable level.

During periods of high rainfall in the summer, the mosquito population will increase, but will usually not decrease during drought because people begin to water their lawns and create artificial breeding areas in sewers. Communities adjacent to underdeveloped land with standing water can expect to have a constant supply of adult mosquitoes ready to invade.

Cypress Creek Pest Control can provide a service level acceptable to a community based on the frequency of fogging. Most communities choose to be serviced once per week and supplement this with extra service during periods of high mosquito activity. Cypress Creek Pest Control can has the ability to provide any frequency and level of control to meet budget constraints.
